Vegetable Grafted Collection

Half-hardy Annual

Revolutionise the way you grow your summer crops with Thompson & Morgan Grafted Vegetables.

This all-natural process of joining a fruiting variety to a more vigorous rootstock has brought massive benefits to commercial crop production. Now you can bring the goodness of grafted vegetables to your own pots or plots.

Some vegetable varieties produce fantastic fruit but are weak growers, others are vigorous growers with poor fruits. We've selected rootstocks from vigorous performers and matched them with the best fruiting varieties to bring you the best possible results from a single plant. Spend a little extra on our grafted plants and reap the rewards right through the season.

  • Why grow grafted plants?
  • Massive increase in yields - up to 75%
  • Longer cropping season - plants fruit earlier in spring and crop later into autumn
  • Hardier to outdoor conditions - grow traditional greenhouse crops outside
  • Better tolerance to soil pests and diseases - no need for growbags - plant straight in the ground

    This collection comprises of
  • Cucumber 'Mini Stars' - A miniature cucumber with maximum vigour.
  • Pepper 'Orias' - This jumbo chilli pepper produces medium strength fleshy chillies, each up to 18cm (7") long.
  • Tomato 'Solena Red'- A sweet cherry variety with extra vigour, producing long trusses of fruits so sweet it garners the nick name 'Nectar Cherry'.
  • Tomato 'Sportivo' - a new variety bursting with flavour for a wide range of culinary uses.

Reviews
  1. A big disappointment

    By diana bedward 07-08-2016

The tomatoes seem OK but not the peppers or cucumbers. I only have 1 pepper on the plant and no more flowers. The cucumber started ok, but now there are lots of flowers and leaves and some round striped fruit. There look like they come from the root stock, not the grafted cucumber. I won't be buying these again it will be back to the packets of seed.
