Plant tomato plugs directly into hanging baskets using good quality compost, and grow them on in warm frost free conditions until they are fully rooted in. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before placing the hanging baskets in their final positions in full sun, with shelter from strong winds.
Water tomato plants frequently, to keep the compost evenly moist. Feed tomatoes regularly with a high potash plant food once the first fruits have formed. Tomatoes can be harvested as they ripen from July to September. Dwarf bush varieties do not require staking or side shooting.

  1. Wonderful cropper

    By Pat Chiplin 04-02-2012

I have grown this variety 2 years running, once in a large pot and also in a grobag on a raised table; both times they did not disappoint and fruited over and over until late October! Can't wait for this year. Lovely tasting product too.

  2. Huge Cropper!!

    By Wendy Stanbury 18-09-2011

Wow, I had pounds and pounds of juicy sweet cherry tomatoes. I grew them in hanging baskets 5 plants in each one, they gave a great display and produced a huge amount of fruit which all turned red. I've made lots of yummy tomato soup, I've roasted them and eaten them straight from the plant, a real good cropper, highly recommended. My family has also benefited from them as I had plenty to share.
