Second early potatoes should be planted up from March to late May and the small, new potatoes will be ready to harvest in approximately 13 weeks. They will benefit from 'chitting'before planting and can be grown either in the ground or in potato patio planters.

A Victorian selection of Potato ‘International Kidney’ is still grown on Jersey and marketed under the trademark 'Jersey Royal'. If harvested as a second early, ‘International Kidney’ makes a perfect, very waxy, salad potato. Harvested later as an early maincrop, it produces floury, large, general purpose tubers. Potato 'Heritage Collection'Solanum tuberosum First early, second early, early maincrop, maincrop. These five heritage varieties, all dating from before the 1950’s, have survived in enthusiasts’ collections over many years. T&M has previously sold these as microplants and minitubers, however we are delighted to be able to offer these now as regular seed potatoes. Height and spread: 60cm (24").
