In this range you'll find spring-planting, autumn-planting and heat-treated varieties. Spring-planting varieties will give you a crop during June and July and autumn-planting varieties will be ready a few weeks earlier. Spring is such a busy time and planting onions and garlic in the autumn to overwinter gives you one less job to in spring! Heat-treated onions are less likely to bolt (run to seed) on planting, which occurs particularly in red varieties.
Elephant Garlic (Autumn Planting)Allium ampeloprasum, Great-Headed Garlic Autumn planting. Hardneck. Elephant Garlic is not a true garlic but a stem leek, which produces massive bulbs approximately 10cm (4”) in diameter. The cloves are also much larger than conventional garlic with a milder taste, making it suitable for a wide choice of culinary uses, especially roasting. Available for Spring or Autumn planting. Onion 'Santero' F1 Hybrid (Spring Planting)Allium cepa

Heat treated early main crop, Onion ‘Santero’ F1 Hybrid is the first onion set with resistance to downy mildew, a potentially disastrous fungal foliage disease.
