Herbs are very easy to grow and are essential ingredients for all types of cooking, as well as injecting life into a salad. Grow them on your windowsill or create a herb garden just outside your kitchen door, so that you can easily pick a few leaves to add to your meals.

Parsley 'Lisette'

Petroselinum crispum 'Lisette', Curly Parsley, Curled-leaf Parsley

 An improved ‘Green Pearl’ type, producing a vigorous rosette of longer stems with more pronounced, finer curled dark green leaves, that stand well without yellowing or bolting. Curled leaved parsley is a useful, low maintenance addition to herb gardens. Try growing parsley indoors on a bright kitchen windowsill, where Parsley ‘Lisette’ will produce fresh leaves virtually all year round. Height and spread: 30cm (12”).

Basil : Christmas

Basil 'Christmas'

Ocimum basilicum

 A wonderful new basil from British breeding of Thai and Genovese crosses. Basil ‘Christmas’ produces large glossy leaves with a unique fruity, mulled-wine aroma associated with Christmas time. The aromatic foliage adds flavour to all manner of dishes, particularly Italian recipes. A profusion of stunning purple flowers makes this herb a decorative, edible pot plant for the kitchen windowsill, the flower border, or for containers outside. Height: 30cm (12”). Spread: 30cm (12”).
