The terms and conditions specified on this page are specific to orders on our website and for delivery to the UK. Placing an order constitutes your acceptance thereof.

Our Commitment

T&M is committed to supplying high quality products to recreational gardeners and households for personal use. In accordance with the established custom of the trade, T&M will in no case be liable for more than the actual amount paid for a particular product on sale.

We will endeavour only to have products on our web site that are in stock and available for ordering. Varieites that are unavailable will be listed as such and will not be selectable. Should a specific variety not be available at the time of despatch, T&M will include a substitute where possible or send the item when stock becomes available. If no suitable substitutes are available, T&M will send a credit.Your contract of supply will be with Thompson & Morgan (Young Plants) Limited for items despatched from our Guernsey fulfillment centre and with Thompson & Morgan (UK) Limited for items despatched from ou Suffolk fulfillment centre.

Endangered Species

T&M will not knowingly offer for sale endangered species harvested from the wild or any genetically modified products.

Payment

We accept Visa, Mastercard and Maestro credit/debit cards for online orders - please note that your account will be debited on receipt of order at T&M. Online vouchers are personal to each individual and any inappropriate use is fraud. T&M reserves the right to cancel any vouchers at any time..

Most seed orders are shipped within 5 working days of receipt of order. For plants, bulbs, fruit and potatoes approximate delivery dates are included against most items. Unless otherwise stated all selling prices quoted are inclusive of reasonable postage and packing. We make a nominal charge for picking and processing orders. All such P&P charges are shown separately and added automatically to your shopping basket. Please see our Delivery/P&P section for full details.

Receiving Your Plants Order

We will ship your plants to you at the best time for planting. The sooner you can plant them up after arrival, the more successful you will be. We recommend that you prepare your soil, planting beds or patio containers ahead of time so you are ready to plant, or pot on, just as soon as your order arrives. Please ensure that you open the packaging immediately upon receipt, and carefully read through the instruction leaflet provided. .

Each plant variety, or product, will be packed separately, so if you order several plant varieties or products, these will most likely arrive on different days. Each package will state the item enclosed on the top line of your address label. Please do not be alarmed if you do not receive your entire order on the same day. When stocks are limited, we undertake to supply a variety of similar colour and habit and of an equal or greater value. In the event that you are not happy with the substitute variety we send, you may return this to us immediately for a full refund.

Should you have a problem with accepting delivery on the dates shown, we will be happy to include a short message for the postman requesting delivery to a neighbour, package to be left in the garage etc.

Customer Care

We strive to provide the best possible products and level of service we can, but we're not perfect and occasionally we may fall below our own high standards. Our experienced Customer Care staff are there to assist you if you do encounter problems. Their aim is to respond promptly and efficiently to all comments, and at the outset within 10 working days of receipt to ensure you, the customer, receive 100% satisfaction at all times.

Our Personal Guarantee to You

We promise to supply products in prime condition. If for any reason you are not 100% delighted upon receipt of your order, please advise us by email or in writing within 14 days - this allows a replacement to be sent promptly to ensure you still have time to achieve total satisfaction from your plants or other goods. In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your seed germination, please notify us within 30 days of the prescribed germination time (specified on the seeds packet catalogue) enclosing both the outer packet and inner foil sachet.

In exceptional circumstances, we will issue credit vouchers or a full refund for faulty goods. Our liability is restricted to the value of the goods ordered. We cannot accept responsibility for items which fail to grow due to extreme weather conditions, over- or under-watering, or which have not been cared for according to the easy-to-follow instructions supplied. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Our Shared Responsibility

We promise to supply you with vigorous, healthy products in prime condition. We only ask you to plant them according to the growing instructions provided to enable you to get the best possible performance from them. We do understand that when dealing with living plants, occasionally problems may arise despite our mutual best efforts. In these instances we ask you to draw the problems to our attention so that we may help wherever we can. However, if your plants or seedlings do not grow properly due to negligence on your part, while we may share your disappointment, we regret we cannot share your loss. We promise to do our job to the highest standards, and we rely on you to use your best endeavours to achieve the optimum results.
