I am a giant, brightly coloured nasturtium that will wander through borders or trail around pots in your garden. You can even eat my flowers and spicy leaves in salads. Height: 20cm.
Sow me indoors from March to April. Fill some 7.5cm pots almost to the rim with some moist seed compost. Push 3 seeds into the centre of each pot and cover with the compost. Place in a warm place in a light position. Keep the pots well watered until my seedlings appear - about 7 days. Move the plants to a bright windowsill, water regularly until I am well grown.
Sow me outdoors from April to June Choose where you want me to grow. Rake the ground so it is nice and fine and remove any big stones. Sow me 20mm deep and 30cm apart.
For indoor sown plants - when all risk of frost has gone, plant me outside somewhere sunny and well-drained.
For outdoor sown plants - thin seedlings to 30cm apart when I am large enough to handle.
ASK AN ADULT TO HELP - Make floral ice cubes? Put a few flowers or petals into the ice cube tray, add water and freeze.
Always check with an adult before eating anything from the garden.
