Description

Fabulous geranium which looks just as good in bud as in full flower. The large, bushy, free-flowering plants of Geranium Horizon Pink Meteor are perfect for borders and containers where the spectacular weather-resistant blooms will flower all summer long. Petals have shocking pink undersides with pure white uppers, attractively 'dusted' with pink in the centre and on the edges.

Sowing Instructions

Sow seeds from mid January to mid March. Sow seeds on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays , and cover with a very fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or seal container in a polythene bag and put in warm place, and keep at a temperature of between 20-25C (68-77F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 3-21 days.

Growing Instructions

When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost 30cm (12in) apart or into containers spaced 15cm (6in) apart.

For best results, provide a light, well-drained soil in full sun.
