Simba's attractive, ruffled, golden yellow flowers intriguingly resemble a lion's shaggy mane. These unusual marigolds are sure to be a 'roaring' success, bringing annual borders to life, as well as adding height and interest. Excellent in beds and borders or as a cut flower. Height 60-90cm (24-36 inches).
Sow March to May. Sow seed at 20-25C (68-77F) on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost. Cover with a very fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 7-21 days. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination.
Prefers any well-drained garden soil in full sun.
