An excellent, quick growing houseplant with fleshy, speckled leaves, and In warm summers, candle like yellow flowers. Used widely in beauty products, and can be used at home as an antiseptic. Simply snap off the leaves and place on cuts and burns for immediate relief.
Sow seed immediately on receipt, in pots or trays of moist peat/sand mix compost and cover with a very fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or warm place, and keep at a constant temperature of between 20-25C (68-77F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 1-4 months.
Re-pot further as necessary and grow on indoors in cool, light and well-ventilated conditions. Plants can be moved outdoors during the summer months.
