Description

Improved breeding in delicious, crunchy tennis-ball sized mini Icebergs. The plants of Lettuce Mini Green Improved have a compact habit with very few wasted outer leaves and produce a dense, crunchy delicious 'meal for one' from a single heart. Lettuce Mini Green Improved stands well in good condition for long periods if watered regularly.

Sowing Instructions

Ideal for spring or summer sowings. Sow seeds direct early spring, as soon as ground is workable.

Sow seeds thinly at regular intervals 12mm (½in) deep in drills 38cm (15in) apart.

Growing Instructions

Thin seedlings to 20cm (8in) apart when large enough to handle.

Aftercare

Water well during dry periods.

The dark green leaves of lettuce are a good source of beta-carotene and Vitamin A.

Kitchen Notes

The crunchy texture of this variety makes it ideal for use in mixed salads. Cut heads can keep for up to 2 weeks in a refrigerator.
