Broccoli : Nine Star Perennial

Hardy, over-wintering Broccoli Nine Star Perennial. Provided all of the variable sized creamy heads are cut each spring then you will enjoy this tasty crop for 2-3 years. Very vigorous so allow at least 90cm (36in) spacing between plants.

Broccoli : Redhead

An improvement on traditional forms of purple sprouting. Broccoli Redhead are seeds in the RHS Vegetable Collection and produce a more vigorous plant with large primary heads along with good sized, secondary shoots for picking over an 8 week period through from March to April.

Broccoli : Romanesco

Created a great deal of interest when grown at the Scottish Horticultural Research Institute, yet it is very widely grown in Northern Italy. The 'spears' can be snapped off individually or all together. Broccoli Romanesco has a taste and texture exceeding the finest broccoli and to really appreciate the flavour it should be cooked and served individually with melted butter.

Broccoli : Romanesco- Veronica

'Romanesco' is increasing in popularity. Cauliflower Veronica produces individual florets with lovely spirals giving a magical appearance from late summer to early frosts, from successional plantings. Protect heads against frost with fleece to extend season.

Broccoli : Spiridon F1

The latest maturing variety with some good frost tolerance to extend the cutting of quality heads and 'sideshoots' well into the autumn. Calabrese Spiridon produces domed heads, average 400-500g on erect, open plants which allow good air circulation to minimise disease. Prefers moist, rich, well-drained soil.

Broccoli : Sprouting Early Purple Red Arrow

Developed by Dr. Gray of Wellesbourne. A vast improvement on exisiting strains, cropping 1 week earlier and yielding up to 20% more. Sprouting Early Purple Red Arrow Broccoli produces vigorous vitamin rich plants with lots of tender flower buds. An extremely useful and easy to grow, hardy winter vegetable, providing lots of tasty purple heads (which turn green when cooked) during late February/March.

Broccoli : Summer Purple

British breeding especially for summer cropping as needs no vernalisation (winter chill) to produce tasty purple spears. Robust plants will produce high yields if picked regularly to promote fresh flushes of spears. Broccoli Summer Purple has good heat tolerance. Crops from July to November if sown at regular intervals.

Brussels Sprout : Bedford Fillbasket

Often producing the largest, most solid sprouts and the heaviest yields, Brussels Sprout Bedford Fillbasket provides a continuous crop from early autumn to Christmas.

Brussels Sprout : Bitesize F1 Hybrid

British-bred and very aptly named, these 'bite-sized', sweet-tasting, mid-green 'buttons' are well spaced on the stem for easy picking. Brussels Sprout Bitesize will remain small and firm on the stem over a long period. Just pick and cook as required - delicious.

Brussels Sprout : Bosworth F1

(October-December).

British breeding at its best! Maturing before our very popular Trafalgar. Brussels Sprout Bosworth F1 has excellent holding ability, to give firm, smooth dark green, sweet tasting buttons, well spaced on the stem for easy picking. Initial trials show good downy mildew tolerance.

Brussels Sprout : Falstaff

A novelty purple-red sprout, adding a touch of colour to your plate. Brussels Sprout Falstaff matures over a long period, and has a milder, nuttier flavour than standard green types. The colour develops great intensity after a hard frost, and is retained when the sprouts are cooked, steamed or microwaved.

Brussels Sprout : Maximus F1 Hybrid

Sturdy plants with good disease resistance Brussels Sprout Maximus produces a high yield of excellent quality smooth, tasty bitter free buttons. Sow successionally from March to May for harvesting over a very long period from September to February.

Brussels Sprout : Nelson F1 Hybrid

T&M have been assessing extensive trials of early maturing varieties and believe that Brussels Sprout Nelson is the best 'Peer Gynt' replacement. Brussels Sprout Nelson produces smaller, more even sized buttons of a darker green colour and a sweeter taste.

Plants have good vigour, and a strong root system so they remain upright for easy picking.
