Bean : Broad Bean : Aquadulce Claudia

This variety is universally recognised as being best for an autumn sowing. Broad Bean Aquadulce Claudia establishes itself very quickly and will produce a very early crop. It is white seeded and the pods are up to 23cm (9 inches) long. Height: 90-100cm (36-40in).

Carrot : Tendersnax F1 Hybrid

Carrot Tendersnax is an early maturity sister line to Sugarsnax producing slightly tapered, 13-15cm (5-6in) blunt ended, smooth, rich orange roots. Outstanding juicy and tender sweet flavour. Delicious eaten raw in salads, used for juicing or as a cooked vegetable.

High in Beta-carotene and Vitamin A and rich in antioxidants.

Cauliflower : Gipsy F1 Hybrid (Summer)

A particularly useful variety for summer harvest, producing deep, round, white curds and without the pink tinge which can often occur on summer Cauliflowers. Cauliflower Gipsy's vigorous habit means this variety will also perform well on less fertile soils. Ideal for exhibition. Seeds are in the RHS Vegetable Collection.

Parsnip : Gladiator F1

The world's first hybrid parsnip. Parsnip Gladiator F1 is fast maturing with consistent high quality flesh, silky-smooth white skin. Very good canker resistance and 'true' sweet parsnip flavour. Parsnip Gladiator F1 is excellent for exhibition.

Pea : Garden : Hurst Green Shaft

Outstanding pod length - 4 to 4½ inches, with 9-11 peas in a pod. Double podded too, Pea Hurst Green Shaft is a super heavy-yielding variety. Only 28 -30 inches tall, with all the pods in the top 10-12 inches - no more backache. A second early, wrinkle seeded variety, which matures in 100 days from sowing. Pea Hurst Green Shaft resists downy mildew and fusarium wilt. And the taste! Has to be eaten to be believed.
