RHS Vegetable Collection : Tomato : Ruby F1 Hybrid

Cordon (Indeterminate). Vigorous plants producing long trusses of red, currant-sized fruits each about 10g (1/3oz). Tomato Ruby will produce over 30 fruits per truss and a huge crop of these succulent, sweet flavoured fruits over the season. Best grown under glass, but also suitable for a sunny position outdoors. Suitable for indoor growing, or outdoors in warm regions. Seeds are in the RHS Vegetable Collection.

Tomato : Aviro F1 (formerly Orange Plum)

Cordon (Indeterminate).

Medium sized, perfectly shaped, deliciously sweet fruit, The rich orange colour gives Tomato Aviro a high level of Beta Carotene, Provitamin A and Vitamin C, almost double normal red tomatoes,

Excellent eaten fresh in salads or garnishes, alternatively Tomato Aviro can be used to make high vitamin juice and soup. Heavy cropper. Virus resistant.

Tomato : Berry F1 Hybrid

Indeterminate
Cascading trusses of deliciously sweet, dark-red, strawberry-shaped fruits. The small, 15g (½oz) fruits of Tomato Berry have an outstanding flavour, ideal for adding to children's lunchboxes, salads and sandwiches or just pop into your mouth and enjoy! Early ripening and crops heavily throughout the summer. Tomato Berry is best for the greenhouse, but will grow in a sunny spot outdoors.

Tomato : Country Taste F1 Hybrid

Indeterminate habit requires support and sideshooting.

Tomato Country Taste produces meaty, delicious fruits, which can easily attain weights over 227g (½lb) if trusses are trimmed (trim to allow 3 or 4 fruits to ripen per truss). Tomato Country Taste is early to set and ripen when grown under glass. Excellent tomato for exhibition and competitions - you could grow a record breaker!

Tomato : Ferline F1 Hybrid

Cordon (Indeterminate) A remarkable tomato variety. In recent trials Tomato Ferline has shown impressive blight tolerance in a garden situation. Tomato Ferline could be the answer to many gardeners' prayers, to help overcome this most destructive disease. The vigorous, indeterminate plants produce heavy crops of deep red fruits of up to 150gm (5oz) in weight with a very good flavour. Suitable for growing under glass. Tomato Ferline is also resistant to fusarium and verticillium wilt.

Tomato : Golden Cherry F1 Hybrid

(Cordon)

'The King of Golden Cherries'. Tomato Golden Cherry is a sister variety to the ever popular Tomato Sungold, producing a very heavy crop of delicious sweet cherry tomatoes. Fruits have thin skins and resist cracking, so they can remain on the vine for even longer. If you love Tomato Sungold this variety really is worth a try.

Tomato : Golden Sweet F1 Hybrid

Indeterminate. New breeding has developed this stunning golden-orange skinned 'cherry plum' tomato, with a delicious sweet flavour. Tomato Golden Sweet plants produce large multi-clusters of 15-18g (½-¾oz) fruits, with up to 40 fruits per cluster that resist splitting.

Golden Sweet is also Fusarium and Rootknot nematode resistant.

Tomato : Juliet F1 Hybrid

Cordon. From the same breeder as the very popular Santa. Tomato Juliet has a similar maturity but with larger 25g (almost 1oz) juicy fruits, with a delicious tangy bite to the taste. An ideal tomato for greenhouse growing.

Tomato : Olivade F1 Hybrid

Cordon Large, high quality, plum-shaped, dark red skinned and juicy fleshed fruits averaging 100g (3½oz) in weight each. Tomato Olivade produces a heavy yield of fully disease resistant tomatoes. Olivade can be grown in the greenhouse or outdoors.

Tomato : Roncardo F1 Hybrid

Cordon. Early, reliable to ripen, Tomato Roncardo is a large beefsteak tomato, producing large 120-140g (4-5oz) fruits with firm flesh. The flesh has a particularly high sugar content, adding more flavour than other beefsteak varieties.

Tomato : Rosada F1 Hybrid

Cordon. Tomato Rosada has slightly larger fruit than the popular 'Santa' with a more pronounced calyx and a slightly thinner skin with much better resistance to fruit splitting. Exceptional flavour with high sugar and high acids to give that real tomato taste.

Tomato Rosada is best for the greenhouse, but will grow in a sunny spot outdoors. Abundant crops throughout the summer.

Tomato : Shirley F1

Cordon (Indeterminate). A popular early maturing, heavy cropping variety for cold or slightly heated greenhouses with excellent quality fruit. Tomato Shirley is recommended for growbag culture with an open growing habit and resistance to TMV, Cladosporium ABC and Fusarium 1 and 2. Exhibitors' favourite.

Tomato : Sungold F1

Cordon (Indeterminate). An excellent new tomato for glasshouse or outdoor culture to provide lots of deliciously different fruit for salads etc. Tomato Sungold has an exceptional and very high sugar content (it definitely rivals 'Gardeners Delight') these attractive golden orange, approx. 13 gram, fruit are irresistible with a sweet flavour all their own -almost a dessert fruit! Sungold crops well and has resistance to Tobacco Mosaic Virus and Fusarium to ensure healthy plants.

Tomato : Totem F1

Bush (Determinate). A dwarf stocky bush variety, both early and heavy yielding, with large trusses of crimson tomatoes produced low down on the stem. This makes Tomato Totem one of the best varieties for growing in pots, tubs, windowboxes, growbags and in the garden where it is particularly useful if space is limited.
