Calendula officinalis Chrysantha

In the course of our travels to the various seed trial grounds around the world, we have rediscovered this heirloom variety, first offered by Thompson & Morgan in 1933 and a real breakthrough in Calendula breeding in its time. Bushy, freeflowering plants produce masses of gorgeous, double, citron-yellow blooms with long, wide, drooping petals resembling those of a Chrysanthemum. Chrysantha still has a place in the garden, adding height to borders, and as an individual cut flower. Height: 60-70cm (24-28in).

Compact, bushy plants quickly become smothered in gorgeous fully double apricot flowers. Being dwarf makes Calendula Apricot Twist ideal for planting towards the front of a border or in containers. One seed produces a bushy plant as pictured here.
