Onions, Garlic and Potatoes blurb goes here if you want it
Grouped as: Collection - Onion
- Collection comprises 1 pack each of (clockwise from top left):
- Onion Hercules: Well named, producing large, almost round well flavoured bulbs. Attractive dark golden brown skins. Excellent storage potential.
- Shallot Golden Gourmet: This is a major advance on the traditional Giant Yellow and produces larger and better quality bulbs with reduced bolting incidence.
- Garlic: Easy to grow and good for you. Preferring a light, rich soil. Separate the bulbs into individual cloves and plant just below the surface in late winter/early spring. Lift and dry the bulbs in late summer and store cool.
- Onion Rumba: British bred variety developed over 8 years to give an improved vigour, shape and storage than Sturon.
- Shallot Red Sun: Gaining in popularity due to its attractive red tinged skin. Arguably the best of the red shallots. Good yields of crisp, white fleshed bulbs of excellent flavour for cooking, in salads or for pickling. Bulbs have long storage potential.
- Elephant Garlic: Spring Planting Garlic. Not a true garlic but a stem leek which produces massive bulbs approximately 10cm (4 inches) in diameter. The cloves are also much larger than conventional garlic with a milder taste making it suitable for a wide choice of culinary uses, especially roasting.
