Customer Service Agents (Temporary)

  • Ipswich, Suffolk
  • £14,500 - £15,000 per annum (pro-rata)
  • Temporary, full-time or part-time

With immediate start we are looking for seasonal workers for our Customer Service department handling inbound calls and emails (taking orders and assisting customers with their queries). We have various hours available, including weekday, weekend and evening hours (and combinations thereof) part-time and full-time.

Contracts are expected to last until the end of June 2017.


The ideal candidate is:
  • Customer focused

  • Comfortable using pc's and web-based systems
  • Happiest working in a large team
  • Enthusiastic and positive


If you have an interest in gardening that is an added bonus (but not essential).

Experience is always desirable but full training is given, therefore candidates of all levels and experience are welcome.

Credit Controller

We are looking for a high-calibre experienced Credit Controller to join our busy finance office in Ipswich. Working as part of small team the role holder will be responsible for managing all aspects of credit control liaising with internal teams as well as suppliers and customers.


The ideal candidate will be experienced, have excellent relationship management skills and a calm no-nonsense approach. The ideal candidate is also:

New Product Development Manager (Horticulture)

Commercial Finance Manager

Following our recent acquisition by BVG Group a new role has been created for senior finance support to the Thompson & Morgan management team.

Whilst initially reporting into the Finance Controller, the role holder will be fast-tracked to senior level over 12-18 months, eventually reporting into the Group Finance Director. The successful candidate will act as the Finance Lead on site and the link between Group Finance and the Thompson & Morgan Executive team.

As the senior finance representative within the business the perfect candidate is someone who possesses the ability to monitor and drive business performance, challenging the senior team on areas of accountability whilst simultaneously providing them with the supporting information they need to make commercially sound decisions in order to meet business objectives.

The right person has all the skills of a management accountant but in addition is someone with influencing and leadership skills, real commercial acumen and an appetite for delivering results at a rapid pace.

Business Systems & Network Manager

Following our recent acquisition by BVG Group a new role has been created to provide senior technical support to the business within the IT team.

The successful candidate will act as the senior IT lead on site and will take on responsibility for some elements of the Head of IT’s role whilst they are on maternity leave.

The main objective and focus of this role will be to provide network & server support and data maintenance, ensuring that business-critical functions and IT projects are fully managed. This role is a fixed term 12 month contract.


As a senior IT representative within the business, the perfect candidate is someone who possesses a wide range of skills including:
  • Excellent knowledge of the implementation, installation and configuration of Microsoft products (Servers Windows 2008 to 2012 R2 Std – Windows XP, Windows 7-10)
  • High level of knowledge and experience of best practice in data manipulation and conversion
  • Infrastructure support (Microsoft Hyper-V hosted by Iscsi) configuration & maintenance
  • SQL 2012/14 install, maintenance and T-SQL scripting
  • Communication, time management and workload planning

The right person will also be extremely delivery focused with a huge appetite for working at a rapid pace.

Further skills to really win us over are:
  • A working knowledge of CRM, ERP and other information systems
  • Vendor management
  • Capable of adding value to existing processes
  • Backup and restore solutions
  • Firewall and VPN management
