Tomato Auto-Waterer

 Customer Rating

Growing tomatoes in growbags is undoubtedly the best way to grow them, but consistent watering can be a problem, particularly during hot weather.

Not any more - thanks to these handy collars. Simply place the collar around the young tomato plants at the time of planting. Each clear plastic collar will form a reservoir to reduce water run-off, ensuring that your plants are consistently fed and watered, and avoiding inconsistent cropping and damaged fruit.

Insert the waterer into the growbag or pot up to the first ring and put the tomato plant into the growbag in the middle of the waterer.Once the plant is established and past the top of the waterer, it can be filled to the top of with water and the liquid will slowly filter into the growbag.

Reviews
  1. completely slug proof

    By Caroline Broome 24-05-2013

For the first time ever I have managed to grow ligularia in my border using these collars. Once the plant grows you can't even see them anymore. I have also had success on the allotment using them around courgette seedlings. Best thing since sliced bread!

  2. A MUST FOR TOMATO GROWERS

    By Wendy Stanbury 15-09-2012

These really are a must if you grow tomatoes especially in grow bags. Insert the collar into the grow back and it'll sit proud above the grow bag. This allows for really easy watering and feeding straight to the roots, and because the collar is taller you can give the plants more water and feed as the collar acts as a reservoir. My Tomato Plants are HUGE this year and it's all down the the collars as they've helped massively with getting the water and feed to the roots and maintain well fed & watered plants. I've used them with grow bags & pots, and they can be used year after year. Wouldn't be without them.
