Fruit

  • Crops in : Mid September

Description

The largest plum we have ever seen! 3 fruits are capable of filling your hand. The large red skinned fruits have a delicious bright yellow/orange flesh and a freestone.

Planted with Opal and Victoria they will give you a full seasons harvest and will aid pollination and increase yields between each other.

Opal is partially self-fertile, making the perfect planting partner for Victoria to aid pollination.

Grafted on a 'St Julian' rootstock which is semi-dwarfing, and will produce you a medium sized 2 to 2.5m (7 to 8 foot) tree.

Perfect for extending the season as the fruits ripen in mid September.

Note: The main cause of maggot damage in plums is the caterpillar of the Plum Fruit Moth. To help control this troublesome pest see Fruit Moth Traps..
