Almond Robijn

If you are lucky enough to have a large garden and you are looking for a large attractive tree, look no further than a nut tree. They are easy to grow, will quickly establish and you will soon be harvesting your own delicious nuts.

Robijn is a sweet Almond produced on a very ornamental tree bearing showy, light pink blossom in spring which may need protecting from frost. Grafted on a peach seedling rootstock so it is advised not to plant near peaches as hybridisation may occur resulting in bitter nuts. Very resistant to peach leaf curl. Self fertile.

Apple : Egremont Russet

A self-fertile mid-season dessert variety. Producing a heavy crop of distinctive russet-bronze fruits,with crisp soild flesh and a rich, nutty flavour. An excellent apple for the cheese board. An easy variety to crop and makes an excellent pollinator for Cox and Braeburn. Harvest in October, and keeps well until January.

All T&M's apples are grafted onto an M9 rootstock which produces a dwarf tree of excellent vigour in all soils - making it ideal for the garden, as you can easily reach to prune, spray and pick your delicious fruit.

Apple : Red Falstaff

A dwarf variety well suited to pot growing. Trees have small extension growth each year, followed by a mass of easy setting blossom and good size delicious fruit. Trees have frost tolerance and the fruits show good resistance to scab.

These trees have been specifically bred to be dwarf, ideal for growing in large 60cm (2ft) diameter containers on the patio.

Apple Diva

This deciduous tree will produce 30-40 red blushed apples within the first year of planting with heavier yields in years to come. It has a sweet flavour and a delicious tangy bite.

Preferring a cooler climate and damp conditions, Diva is ideal for growing in your English garden, it is also scab and mildew resistant.

Trees are bare-rooted and supplied 5ft tall on M9 rootstocks. Eventual height 6-8ft.

Apricot : Delicot®

A sister variety to Flavourcot®, but with a slightly different sugar/acid balance giving the aromatic fruits a more delicate flavour. Delicious eaten straight from the tree, in preserves or served up as a cold or cooked desert. Self fertile.

Grafted onto a specialist apricot rootstock called 'Torrinel' which is semi-dwarfing, and will produce you a medium sized 2-2.5m (7-8ft), manageable tree for the small garden and is proven to give a bigger crop of apricots. Due to modern breeding techniques and yield improvements it is now easy for the home gardener to grow and enjoy these exotic fruits.

Apricot : Lilicot®

A very early ripening apricot, about 3-4 weeks earlier than Flavourcot®. Although this variety fruits early just like Flavourcot® it is late flowering making the blooms frost resistant so you always get a crop. The gorgeous orange/red skined fruits contain delicious sweet juicy flesh. Self fertile.

Citrus Fruit Collection

These delightful Panama Orange and Citrus Lemon trees make decorative pot plants all year round. Kept indoors from October and moved to a patio in summer, they flower in July and set fruit in August and September.

Delivered to you pot-grown, approximately 15-25cm (6-8 inches) high, they grow to a maximum height of 50-60cm (20-24 inches) depending on the conditions they are grown in and the care given.

Crab Apple : Golden Hornet

A small, deciduous, fruit-bearing tree, suitable for small gardens. Grown for flowers in the spring and a plentiful, spectacular display of golden-yellow fruits from early autumn until well into the winter months. The flowers will attract bees and fruits attract the birds. Self fertile.

Fig : Brown Turkey Standard

The most reliable fig for the UK climate, producing a heavy crop of purple-brown fruits with sweet red flesh. Plants are very vigorous and growth should be limited by restricting the roots to a large container (which will also encourage fruit formation).

Supplied as a 'standard' plant in a 4 litre pot.

Fig : Brunswick

Attractive trees with enormous hand shaped leaves have medium vigour making them ideal for growing in containers. Produces a heavy crop of medium sized pear shaped fruits with the sweetest of flavours.

Ideal for growing in the UK as Brunswick tolerates coller wetter growing conditions and is a lot hardier than other varieties.

Gooseberry : Captivator

A thornless variety producing almost spinless plants, making harvesting of the deliciously sweet, medium to large, purplish-pink berries a delight. Plants show good resistance to mildew and leaf spot. Ready to havest from late May onwards. Occassionally a few spines will appear on young wood.

Captivator is very cold hardy having originated in Canada.

Lemon : Green Lemon

A sweet flavoured lemon of an unusual pale lime green colour. This hardy citrus lemon has a slightly more compact habit than traditional varieties making it ideal for growing in containers on the patio. Fruits are ideal for using in cooking or for adding to a refreshing Gin and Tonic.

Our lemons have glossy, dark green foliage and tiny white flowers that fill the air with the delicious fragrance of citrus blossoming between April and June, and fruits ready to pick from December to February.

T&M have carefully chosen varieties that are hardy and capable of surviving temperatures below 0C! Citrus make a spectacular container plant for a conservatory or can be grown in containers or raised beds filled with a very well drained compost in a sheltered spot.

Nectarine : Necterella

A genetically dwarf variety bred in California, ideal for growing in containers. Delicious Nectarines are produced along with a 'mop head' of leaves creating an attractive and productive patio tree.

These trees have been specifically bred to be dwarf, ideal for growing in large 60cm (2ft) diameter containers on the patio.

Olive : Picholine

Although this wonderful fruit is normally associated with the mediterranean you can now grow these highly decorative plants very successfully in the UK.

Picholine is an almond shaped olive that has a medium green smooth appearance. Often used as a green table olive or to make a useful olive oil. Makes an attractive and productive addition to the patio.
