Grow your own rhubarb and within 2 years you'll be harvesting the stems by the armful! Early varieties can be forced (grown in darkness under a large pot or rhubarb forcer) or left to grow 'naturally'. Try to resist the urge to pick all the stems in the first year, so that the plants can become properly established.
