Sweet and juicy, packed full of vitamins and picked from your own garden! Blueberries are easy to grow and care for, but do need an acid soil. If you're unsure of your soil type, you can grow them in large containers in ericaceous compost. For best results, grow two different types of blueberries to ensure good pollination.
Blueberry 'Earliblue'Vaccinium corymbosum, Highbush Blueberry An early maturing variety producing large, light blue, sweetly flavoured berries that hang in medium sized clusters from the beginning of July. When grown with late fruiting varieties, Blueberry ‘Earliblue’ can extend the fruiting season by several weeks. This substantial blueberry bush also makes an attractive shrub for the patio or acidic borders, bearing masses of sweetly scented creamy white flowers in spring, and fiery crimson autumn foliage. Blueberries are packed with health-boosting compounds and are especially delicious in pies, muffins and jams. Our sturdy 1.5 litre potted vaccinium plants will begin to fruit 1 year after planting.
