Security Hedging Collection

Hardy Shrub

If creating a virtually impenetrable, protective barrier around your property is a priority for you then this is definitely the hedging collection you will need. We have carefully chosen five different varieties that will create an extremely thorny and prickly boundary marker. The Blackthorn and Hawthorn live up to their names and produce long spikey thorns in abundance and the Holly is well known for its prickly leaves, we have added to this the Dog Rose and Ramanas Rose, which will ramble through the other plants with their thorny stems, to make the hedge even more densely packed. Whilst this hedge will offer you the security you are looking for, it will also be covered in flowers during spring and summer and then, in autumn, there will be an abundance of bright berries and hips that will be enjoyed by wildlife and admired by us too. Supplied as 50 - 90cm bareroots (20 - 35") Height: 12m (39'). Spread: 8m (26'). Planting Distance: 30cm (12"). (4 plants per metre for a single line hedge).,

Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. For more details about edible flowers click here.
