Biennials live for 2 years, whereas perennials live for longer. As a general rule, biennial and perennial seeds should be sown in spring, but some can be sown in autumn as well. Many varieties will self-seed after flowering, giving you even more plants!
Helianthemum 'Hybrids Mixed'Rock Rose, Sun Rose Showy dwarf evergreen shrubs which spread quickly over rocks and slopes and make ideal ground cover. The attractive foliage is smothered from late spring with masses of 2.5cm (1 inch) flowers resembling wild roses in pink, lemon, copper, red, purple and white. Geranium bohemicum 'Orchid Blue'Hardy Geranium, Cranesbill Geranium 'Orchid Blue' is a selection by Thompson & Morgan from the species Geranium bohemicum. A short-lived border and ground cover plant which self-seeds to keep continuity. Masses of 2cm (¾in.) flowers of orchid-blue, veined in purple-violet, borne on bushy plants. Makes a delightful show, particularly when situated in a sunny position in the border. Flowers summer. Height 30-45cm (12-18in). More info |
