Perennial & Biennial Seeds


Biennials live for 2 years, whereas perennials live for longer. As a general rule, biennial and perennial seeds should be sown in spring, but some can be sown in autumn as well. Many varieties will self-seed after flowering, giving you even more plants!

Pansy 'Singing the Blues'

Viola x wittrockiana

This mixture of four enchanting colours, in shades and contrasts of blue, are not just pretty but the most sensational breakthrough in Violas for a decade. They were specifically bred for containers, baskets and ground cover, possessing a unique trailing habit. Above all they are wonderfully fragrant with a gorgeous, pervading sweet scent. Flowers appear in abundance and because they are tolerant to cold and heat, they can be grown all year round. Height: 2-3in Flowers spring/summer.

Primula vulgaris

Primrose, Common Primrose

Without doubt this native British plant is one of the most beautiful of the Primula family and an excellent garden plant. The flowers are of softest yellow, a colour very rare among flowers, and are deliciously scented. Happy in full sun or part shade. Flowers spring. Height 6in.
