Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 14-30 days. Do not exclude light at any stage as this is beneficial to germination.

Pricking out (Transplanting): Transplant when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Planting out: Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions before planting out after all risk of frost 60cm (24in) apart. Prefers a well drained soil in full sun.

  1. Verbascum hybrida 'Snow Maiden'

    By Ros Cloke 20-06-2011

This is the most fabulous plant for the back of the border. I planted the seeds in February last year and am being rewarded by hundreds of beautiful plants scattered around our garden. A very high germination rate and easy to grow! A wonderful addition to any border. Ros
