Sow from late February-June 1.5mm (1/16in) deep in a good seed compost. Make sure that the compost is moist but not wet and seal in a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 10-30 days at 21-24C (70-75F).
Transplant when large enough to handle into boxes or 7.5cm (3in) pots. Later plant out 40cm (18in) apart in fertile well drained garden soil in a sunny spot.
Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above.
Despatch: Within 24 hours applies to orders placed online from Sunday to Thursday. Orders placed online on Friday or Saturday will be despatched on Monday. Please note that for Bank Holiday weekends, orders placed Friday to Sunday will be despatched on Tuesday.
Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes etc are delivered at the appropriate time for planting and will be stated on the product page or in your order acknowledgement page and email.
Orders for packets of seed incur a P&P charge of £1.95.
Orders which include any other products will incur a P&P charge of £4.95.
Where an order includes both packets of seeds and other products a maximum P&P charge of £6.90 will apply - regardless of the number of items ordered.

wonderful flowers this year

I planted these seeds late summer/early autumn last year. Good germination and established as small plants, over-wintered fine. This spring they really took off. Masses of flowers, so many plants I shared them with neighbours. The bees love them. Still going strong.

Very poor germination

We have been very disappointed with the germination of these beautiful plants. Only 6 of the 30 germinated despite the perfect followed instructions. A real shame as we were desperate to add a huge quantity of these to our new border.
