Popular bedding plants, marigolds are best known as either 'French' or 'African' types. These hardy annuals are easy to grow and the plants stand up to all weathers, rain or shine and are smothered in beautiful flowers. Some marigolds repel white fly on tomatoes in greenhouses or outdoors too - grow them next to your tomato plants for maximum effect.
Tagetes tenuifolia, Signet MarigoldDwarf, compact and neat plants. The flowers in a rich colour range are produced in abundance superb for bedding, edging and containers. Flowers early summer to frost. Height 15-20cm (6-8in).
