Hardy Annual Seeds


Hardy annuals can be sown directly into their flowering positions in the spring and will tolerate a certain amount of cold. Well-known flowers such as sweet peas, poppies, stocks and sunflowers fall under this category, as do some of the more unusual flowers - gomphocarpus & ratibida for example.

Specially selected for its striking colour combination, Calendula ‘Sherbet Fizz’ has unusual buff-coloured petals with alluring darker red undersides. Sow pot marigolds in drifts for a spectacular display in beds and borders. The daisy-like flowers are excellent for cutting and can also be added to salads as an edible flower.
