Sow on the surface of a good free draining seed compost from late winter to spring. Make sure the compost is moist but not wet and seal in a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 7-20 days at 21-24C (70-75F). Do not exclude light which is beneficial to germination.
Transplant when large enough to handle and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out, after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart in a sunny spot on light well drained soil.
Caution: Irritant to skin and eyes. Harmful if eaten.

There are supposed to be 40 seeds in a packet but on opening I could only see a very small number - perhaps 5 or so ( the seeds are very small so it is difficult to tell). I sowed what there was but to date only one rather lonely plant has germinated. More positively the Nicotiana Sylvestris seeds that I sowed at the same time are thriving.

These are easy to grow from seed and you get masses of plants I had them in boarders and had a few small trays of plants left over so I removed the tray did not split them up just put the whole lot in a pot filled in around with compost about eight to ten plants in each they are still flowering now in the middle of October and loads of buds still to come.
