Antirrhinum nanum 'Frosted Flames'

Half-hardy Annual

 Customer Rating
The rich carnival of colour produced by this stunning Antirrhinum is perfectly foiled by the unusual, frosted foliage, making the plants a real talking point. Exceptional performance for the summer border.

Ideal For:
patio, cottage gardens, wildlife gardens, cut flower garden
Flowering Period:
June, July, August, September, October
Sowing Months:
January, February, March
full sun
    • 1 packet (60 antirrhinum seeds)

    • Despatch: Within 1 days
    • £0.99
Sow January to March at 20-30C (68-86F) on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost. Do not cover the seed. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 10-21 days. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination.

Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm (3in) pots. Grow on in cooler conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 23-30cm (9-12in) apart.

Remove spent flowers regularly to encourage further blooming.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. 1. Worth the wait

    By Elizabeth Morris 25-09-2015

These attractive plants vary in height and colour (flowers and leaves) but are putting on a splendid show after flowering late. They are equally good in tubs or in the border. Will definitely try them again, bearing their season in mind.

I am so pleased that I bought some Antirrhinum "Frosted Flame" seeds. They are very easy to grow, the flowers are beautiful and the foilage is very attractive.
