The vigour of this new petunia is second to none! Fast and vast growth from Petunia 'Surfinia Sumo' quickly piles on to fill pots or empty ground. Plant up just ONE plant per 45cm (18") pot and the plants will just swell with colour and fragrance. Set them at 60cm (24") spacing in open ground for an unbroken sea of summer colour out in your borders. Boisterous unhindered growth and perfect purple blossom makes these top-performing petunia plants an excellent choice for beginners. With less plants needed to fill pots and planting schemes, they are also the perfect choice for those with less time and money to spend on raising and tending their plants. Height: 45m (18"). Pot up petunia plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions for transplanting later on. Alternatively, plant plugs directly into flower pouches.Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before transplanting them outdoors into baskets, window boxes and containers in well drained soil, in full sun.
Feed and water petunia plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. Regular deadheading of petunia flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes etc are delivered at the appropriate time for planting and will be stated on the product page or in your order acknowledgement page and email.
