Also known as herbaceous plants, perennial plants live for 2 or more years and flower every year. Biennial plants live for up to 2 years, flowering profusely in their second year before setting seed and dying. Fuchsia arborescens

Lilac Fuchsia

This tender species fuchsia bears large panicles of delicately scented cerise pink flowers in summer, followed by decorative spherical purple fruits. Fuchsia arborescens is an elegant evergreen fuchsia for a large patio container or conservatory specimen. Lavender 'Hidcote'

Lavandula angustifolia, English Lavender

With its compact habit and dark purple flower spikes, this must be one of the nation's best known varieties of English lavender. The fragrant stems of Lavandula 'Hidcote' are ideal for cutting or drying, and the nectar-rich flowers are particularly attractive to bees. Lavender makes an excellent low hedge or path edging where the perfume can be appreciated as you brush past the aromatic evergreen foliage. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 75cm (30").
