Wallflower 'Dwarf Scented Mixed'

Erysimum, Cheiranthus

Hardy Biennial

Sometimes the old methods are the best, and that's exactly why we've added good, old fashioned bareroot wallflower plants to our range. Wallflower 'Dwarf scented Mixed' can be planted straight out into beds, containers and borders to create a fantastic tapestry of scented colour in the following spring. Tough, compact and reliable - this short lived perennial is tough enough to cope in even the poorest of soils. Height: 40cm (16"). Spread: 30cm (12").

Culinary note: The tender young shoots can be cooked and eaten as a vegetable. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Grow Wallflowers outdoors in any free draining soil in full sun. Erysimum plants are tolerant of most neutral or alkaline soils and will even cope well on very poor soils.
Feed and water plants until they are fully established. Trim back wallflowers after flowering to prevent them from becoming leggy.

Reviews
  1. Very disappointed!

    By Jean Smith 22-11-2016

Planted out the day after they were received and so far only a quarter of them have survived. The rest have lost their leaves and appear to have died. Maybe lack of strong roots would account for the problem.
