Viola Sorbet 'XP T&M Mixed' (Garden Ready)

Pansy

Hardy Perennial

  • The fast-track to a hassle-free garden - just plant, water and enjoy!
  • Quality plants delivered to your door, hardened off and ready to plant out
  • Fully-grown, super-robust, healthy plants
Our garden ready plants are selected for garden performance, straight from the nursery. We send them to you 'green' ahead of flowering (but please note some varieties may show a few blooms), which means plants will establish quickly and all their energy goes into producing better roots, so they produce more flowers throughout the season.

Create a kaleidoscope of springtime colour with Viola 'Sorbet XP T&M'. This uniform mix is prolific and free flowering with a neat, uniform habit that is perfectly suited to hanging baskets, window boxes and containers. Height: 20cm (8"). Spread: 23cm (9").

Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. The crystallised petals are great decorations for cakes and cookies, or they can be added straight to green salads for an injection of colour. For more details about edible flowers click here.

When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise violas to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days, prior to planting in their final positions in baskets, beds and windowboxes. Grow violas in any well drained soil, in sun or semi shade.
Feed and water frequently, but take care not to overwater in winter as this can cause root damage should the compost freeze. Deadhead faded viola flowers before they set seed to prolong the flowering period.

Reviews
  1. None Survived

    By John Yates 02-01-2015

Ordered along with Polyanthus, which were perfect and packed well. The Violas had all been sheared, as had gone leggy, before posting, these were all pot bound and had been crushed in packing process. T&M policy of posting in a time-frame which allows plants to be sent at their peak condition, failed miserably here, as these were at least 4 weeks past their peak. I bought these to go into my hanging baskets and they all failed to set any new growth and eventually died. Poly's are doing great, in my tubs. I want to purchase Begonias in summer, but am wary now, as to quality.
