Pulmonaria 'Trevi Fountain' (Large Plant)

Lungwort

Hardy Perennial

Considered to be one of the longest flowering blue cultivars, this super little Lungwort has much to offer. Pulmonaria 'Trevi Fountain' is particularly striking with deep cobalt blue flowers borne in clusters from March to May. This dependable hardy perennial forms an attractive carpet of silver spotted foliage that makes superb ground cover, particularly in shaded areas. A lovely addition to herbaceous borders and woodland areas, where it will provide a valuable source of nectar for pollinating insects. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 50cm (19").

Culinary note: The leaves can be eaten raw or cooked and added to salads, or used as a potherb. The plant is an ingredient of the drink Vermouth. For more details about edible flowers click here.
