Perennial Phlox

Hardy Perennial

Phlox paniculata 'David' is a well known variety that deservedly holds an RHS AGM. This handsome perennial Phlox bears large panicles of elegant white blooms with a simply heavenly fragrance. This vigorous variety puts on strong growth that will quickly form a pleasing clump in moist, sunny borders. A cottage garden favourite, it is loved by pollinating insects and makes a useful choice for wildlife gardens. Equally popular with flower arrangers for a lovely addition to summer bouquets. Height: 80cm (32"). Spread: 75cm (30").

Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Add the small flowers to fruit salads or crystallise them for decorating desserts. For more details about edible flowers click here.
