Pot up bedding plants and grow them on in frost-free conditions. When plants are well grown, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days and transplant them into their final positions in containers, beds and borders. Grow bedding plants in fertile, well drained soil in full sun.
Water spring bedding plants regularly during warm, dry periods. Feed and water regularly as growth resumes in the spring. Regular deadheading of flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the spring and early summer.

Got these in late 2013 half price so had to overwinter them in a little greenhouse. The following spring (2014) I had nice primroses and polyanthus, followed by quite spectacular stocks. The violas didn't do so well, think the bugs got to them before I noticed, pretty much the same with pansies, don't seem to get much luck with these plants. The wallflowers grew and grew but no flowers. Think my soil was too rich according to Monty. This spring (2015) the primroses and polyanthus have been amazing. The wallflowers have finally bloomed too, taking a year longer seemed to help as they are going crazy, A complete firework finale going off. Overall, well worth the effort and a bargain price.

Not as good as expected

Had to rid the garden of violas and pansies even in pots as we have thousands if not millions of ants under our garden as they seem to like these and spoil everyone I have . You can see them all over the plants, they do not bother any other plants. None of these did well and I have not seen the stocks, unless they are the mass of leaves and no flowers. Put them in 2013 so expected something this year. The wall glowers did not do well either. Quite unimpressed either this batch of plants. Would not buy again.
