Pot up Heteropappus plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until all risk of frost has passed. When plants are well grown, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before transplanting into borders and containers. Grow blue chrysanthemums in reliably moist, fertile, well drained soil in sunny or semi shaded position.
Water Heteropappus plants regularly until they are fully established. Deadhead faded Blue chrysanthemum flowers regularly to encourage more blooms to be produced throughout the summer.

Thank you for your review. Heteropappus will flower in its first year as an annual if sown January/February and will flower October /November.
However, if sown in September/October and treated as a perennial it will flower the September/ October following year and will continue to flower periodically.
