Geranium 'Jackpot Mixed' F1 Hybrid

Pelargonium, Zonal Geranium, Zonal Pelargonium

Half-hardy Perennial

 Customer Rating
These weather tolerant, F1 hybrid pelargoniums have more than enough vigour to ensure a spectacular, free flowering display throughout summer. Geranium 'Jackpot Mixed' produce masses of colourful single blooms on neat compact plants. Perfect for filling beds, borders and patio containers. Height: 40cm (16"). Spread: 35cm (14").
Although technically perennial, Pelargoniums are only half hardy and therefore normally treated as annuals in the UK. However, with care, they may be overwintered in a frost free greenhouse.

Pot up pelargonium plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise geraniums to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before transplanting them into their final positions in containers, beds and borders. Plant geraniums in a sunny or semi-shaded position, in any light, non-acidic, well drained soil. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on.
Feed and water geranium plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. Regular deadheading of geranium flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer.

  1. Tiny plants

    By Beate Carleton 13-03-2017

Plug plants are supposed to be 6-8 cm. These were 5 cm at best, including the roots. I've never seen such small plants. Quite a few of the leaves were also yellow, having spent 5 days in transit. I live in London and the weather is very mild already. I had hoped to pot these on and then plant them out in a few weeks' time, but the plants are far too small for that. Waste of money.

  2. Stunning geraniums

    By Patricia Revill 27-07-2016

I bought 36 of these as plug plants in Spring and planted them in pots as soon as they arrived. They grew very well and were planted out at the beginning of May. Now they look absolutely stunning in my front border and the colours are especially vibrant in the evening when I go out to water them. I will definitely have some more next year!
