Description
The striking petals of Echinacea 'Primadonna Mixed' radiate outwards from a deep orange-brown central cone and are extremely appealing to bees and butterflies. Flowers are produced all summer from July to September on strong tall stems which make these wonderful Echinacea blooms ideal for cutting and adding to floral displays in the home. Echinacea 'Primadonna Mixed' will also look fabulous planted in clumps in borders or large containers, creating a striking burst of colour that will enhance any cottage garden or wildlife garden planting scheme.

Enjoy this stunning cone flower mix even sooner than usual with our Garden Ready plants. We despatch these packs of 15 tough super-size plants at the perfect time for planting out, usually before blooms form, which helps them establish quicker for better root growth and then a longer, stronger display of flowers. All Garden Ready Plants are grown in incredicompost® and fed with incredibloom®, guaranteeing best ever performance.

How to Grow
Pot up echinacea plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to transplant outdoors. Gradually acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days prior to planting out in borders. Grow echinacea plants in a sunny or semi shaded position on moist, well drained soil. Coneflowers prefer a deep, fertile soil and will benefit from the addition of some well rotted manure or garden compost to soil, prior to planting.
More Info
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season until coneflower plants are fully established. Deadhead faded Echinacea flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. In autumn, cut back faded flower stems and apply a mulch of well rotted manure to the base of the plant. Divide overcrowded plants in autumn or spring.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
