Andrew Tokely's Tips
"'Divine' is entirely downy mildew resistant. In our trial it thrived, whereas the 10,000 busy Lizzies (Impatiens walleriana) we grew were decimated. Some of you may be aware of problems reported nationally concerning downy mildew (races 2 and 3) affecting the common busy Lizzie (Impatiens walleriana). There are no chemical treatments available at the present time to help, prevent or eradicate the problem. Thompson & Morgan has withdrawn this type of Impatiens from its plant ranges for the foreseeable future, in order to help reduce the epidemic. The disease is specific to the common busy Lizzie only, so other bedding plants, including New Guinea busy Lizzie types can be grown without risk."
Busy Lizzie 'Sunpatiens® Mixed'
'Wow' is the only word to describe the impact from this brand new, sun-loving Busy Lizzie plant which is a hybrid between New Guinea Impatiens and a wild type. Sunpatiens® is taking the plant world by storm with its exceptional vigour and ability to withstand rain, wind, humidity, scorching heat and cool shade.
It's a plant of superior qualities: quicker to establish, stronger root system, thicker petals and much larger flowers than normal Impatiens.Just one plant covers an area 3 feet square! ‘Flower Power’ is an understatement - but don't just take our word for it, grow Sunpatiens® for yourself - we think you’ll be suitably impressed. Height and spread: 60cm (24").More info
