Annual plants fall under two categories - hardy and half-hardy. Hardy annuals can be grown outdoors and will tolerate cooler tempratures, whereas the more tender half-hardy annuals need protection and must not be planted out until all risk of frost has passed. These delightful summer flowers add colour and interest to beds, borders, containers and hanging baskets. Use the selections in the left menu to select the right plants for your garden.

Geranium 'Bug Off' Collection
Banish mosquitoes from your summer patio tables with this unique plant!
Nothing spoils a summer evening in the garden like an attack of marauding mosquitoes! Scented leaf geraniums go a long way in deterring these little biters, but these leafy plants often lack the visual impact needed around garden seating areas and patios. We have the decorative answer with Geranium 'Mosquitaway'. Crossbreeding leafy geraniums and pretty Angel Geraniums has brought the best of both worlds to a unique duo of scented leaf geraniums with masses of lavish flowers. First is the dark flowered 'Eve', which is perfectly contrasted with the near opposite flowers of her paler sister 'Lizzy'. These dainty pelargonium plants look fantastic planted in combination in small table-top containers, where the pungent foliage will keep the mosquitoes away. Alternatively set them around the patio to banish the bugs. Easy to grow, and flowering non-stop too - order early and grow on in the greenhouse and these beautiful plants will bloom from April right though to October. Height: 40cm (16"). Spread: 25cm (10").
