Annual plants fall under two categories - hardy and half-hardy. Hardy annuals can be grown outdoors and will tolerate cooler tempratures, whereas the more tender half-hardy annuals need protection and must not be planted out until all risk of frost has passed. These delightful summer flowers add colour and interest to beds, borders, containers and hanging baskets. Use the selections in the left menu to select the right plants for your garden.
Garden-Ready Plant CollectionHowever busy you are, you can still enjoy a colourful garden or patio thanks to our Garden-Ready plant range. These robust and vigorous bedding plants are delivered at just the right time for planting and can be placed straight out into their final positions. Try them in patio pots, hanging baskets or plant them straight into the border - no potting on, no hardening off, just plant and go!
Michael Perry Advice"Our 'garden-ready' plant range is a much larger plug plant than usual and, if the weather allows, can be planted directly into their final containers and into beds and borders from the end of May. Please keep an eye on the weather forecast though, and never plant outside if a frost is forecasted. If you have planted and then news of frost comes, then make sure you cover plants with fleece or some old net curtains temporarily." |
