Pot up petunia plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions for transplanting later on. Alternatively, plant plugs directly into flower pouches.Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise petunias to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before transplanting them outdoors into baskets, window boxes and containers in well drained soil, in full sun.
Feed and water petunia plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. Regular deadheading of petunia flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer.

Unusual, deeply BLACK, not Cherry colour!
By Anna Mollerstrom 06-10-2013
I have not had any problem with that Petunia flowers! Everybody who came to our garden was strongly impressed by the deeply BLACK flowers. My Petunia was not CHERRY! But I was just delighted with the colour. I would like absolute to get it next spring as well, but delivered earlier. I had problem to manage planting out because I had flight to Sweden a few days after the 14 May when the plants has been delivered. I fly to Sweden every year about this time.
A striking and very eye catching petunia!

This is a strong grower that is soon covered in gloriously dark blooms. It must be the favourite plant of goths! It mixes so well with other plants, giving dramatic combinations.
There is one serious problem with spent flowers though. They stain everything, if your basket is over decking be very careful. You can end up with what looks like a burst black ink fountain pen all over your wood.
This is why I give it only 4 stars. 5 for the plant minus one for the aftermath.
