At last something different to the usual colour spectrum of orange and lemon - a real creamy white flowered African marigold! Marigold ‘French Vanilla’ is a triumph in plant breeding, producing masses of large blooms up to 7.5cm (3”) across that are absolutely pure in colour. Better still, it has less of the pungent marigold smell than its cousins. A definite improvement! Perfect for bringing a contemporary twist to beds, borders and containers. Height and spread: 45cm (18”).

Pot up marigold plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise marigolds to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days and transplant them into their final positions in containers and borders. Plant marigolds in well drained soil in full sun. When growing marigolds pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on.
Feed and water marigold plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. Regular deadheading of marigold flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer. Culinary note: Marigold flowers have a mild citrus flavour. Use them in sandwiches, salads, fish dishes and hot desserts.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes etc are delivered at the appropriate time for planting and will be stated on the product page or in your order acknowledgement page and email.

Orders for packets of seed incur a P&P charge of £1.95.
Orders which include any other products will incur a P&P charge of £4.95.

    purchased as plug plants,all arrived in good condition .plants responded well to potting on and growth was rapid.plants are now well established and in full glorious flower! Very uniform, vigorous and floriferous,an exellent choice for a trouble free display,even in light shade. Brilliant!

    Lovely, strong plants. Responded well to being potted on into root trainers and then into open ground/pots.
