 Customer Rating
  • The fast-track to a hassle-free garden - just plant, water and enjoy!
  • Quality plants delivered to your door, hardened off and ready to plant out
  • Fully-grown, super-robust, healthy plants

Our garden ready plants are selected for garden performance, straight from the nursery. We send them to you 'green' ahead of flowering (but please note some varieties may show a few blooms), which means plants will establish quickly and all their energy goes into producing better roots, so they produce more flowers throughout the season.

Awarded an All American Selection medal for its unusual azalea-shaped snapdragon flowers. Antirrhinum 'Madame Butterfly' creates a riot of colour throughout summer. The unique, double snapdragon petals prevent insects from pollinating the flowers, so they last much longer than single-flowered varieties. Perfect for a long-lasting display in cottage garden beds, borders and containers. This award winning variety also makes a superb cut flower. Height: 65cm (26"). Spread: 45cm (18").

Culinary note: These pretty flowers can be used as garnishes or dressings but can have a bland or sometimes bitter taste. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Pot up snapdragon plants using free-draining compost, and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outside. Pinch out growing tips while the plants are still small to encourage bushier growth. Once they are well grown, acclimatise antirrhinum plants to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting outdoors on fertile, free draining soil in a sheltered, sunny position. Antirrhinums particularly dislike wet ground, so improve heavy soil conditions by adding coarse grit or sharp sand prior to planting.
Feed and water regularly until snapdragons are fully established. Deadhead faded antirrhinum flowers frequently throughout summer to encourage more blooms to be produced.

  1. Waited over a month...

    By Perry Lewis 19-06-2016

I waited over a month for these to arrive, half way through the year and still bare earth in the garden (my 91 year old mothers garden and she has nothing to look at!). I'm sorry but this is just not good enough. I have cancelled my order and bought bigger better plants - IN FLOWER! - for the same price at a garden centre. I suggest you do the same and save the wait and frustration! Customer service was particularly unhelpful and seemed to be aggravated by getting the same complaint time and time again, all too eager to refund my money. Also no reply to my email after 4 days; no way to run a company.

  2. packaging !!!!!

    By TERRIE MCCLEAN 12-06-2015

Customer Number: 13605058 Order Number: T11657645 Well I received 60 replacements. 39 are fab ( thank you ) 21 have their flowering heads snapped off through careless packaging. If they had been packed properly I would have had 60 fab plants. If T & M see fit to replace the 21 I would be grateful - but in the meantime I'm off to the garden centre. To be fair this isn't T&Ms fault - its the packaging company, but at the end of the day I paid for 60 healthy plants and only have 39
