Spring Flowering Bulb Collection

This collection includes four of the most popular and colourful spring-flowering bulbs: Allium Moly, Oxalis, Anemone de Caen and Brodiaea (25 bulbs of each). Plant them amongst perennials for early colour or in borders and patio pots for a bright display. Supplied as bulbs.

  • Allium moly - A vigorous little allium bearing dense clusters of star-shaped, golden yellow flowers from late spring. Neat clumps of grey-green, strap-like foliage are quick to establish and will rapidly spread to naturalize beneath shrubs and throughout woodland areas. Allium moly is easy to grow, needing little attention throughout the season, and returning in a bigger and better display each year. Bulb size 4/5. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 5cm (2").
  • Oxalis - This ornamental Shamrock is as versatile as it is pretty. Oxalis tetraphylla 'Iron Cross' is mainly grown for its clover-like, bright green leaves with a dark purple band at the base of each leaflet. From early summer, the distinctive foliage is paired with rosy pink, tubular flowers. Bulb size 4/5. Height and spread: 15cm (6").
  • Anemone 'De Caen' - Silky, long-lasting blooms with delicately cupped petals are carried on individual stems in a vibrant mix of bold colours. These beautiful windflowers are ideal for cutting, but make sure you leave a few in the garden as they will attract pollinating insects to their captivating blooms. Undemanding and easy to grow, this colourful mix of Anemone coronaria 'De Caen' bulbs is perfect for growing in containers or at the front of borders. Bulb size 3/4. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 15cm (6").
  • Brodiaea - A good all rounder, perfect for planting in containers, borders and rockeries. Produces clusters of double funnel shaped blooms in a rich bluish mauve. An easy to grow spring bloomer, excellent for seasonal cut flower displays – stems will last up to two weeks in the vase. Bulb size 4/5.

Snowdrop (Single-flowered)

Galanthus nivalis

Drifts of graceful nodding snowdrops signal winters end with an understated elegance. These native beauties love to shelter in dappled shade at the base of trees and shrubs, but look equally ay home in an alpine garden, or naturalised in grass. Why not try them in window boxes and containers as part of a mixed planting scheme. Versatile and vigorous, they will quickly multiply to create a carpet of honey scented, single-flowered blooms. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 10cm (4").Snowdrop bulbs are ideal for autumn planting. For spring planting choose snowdrops in the green. Only cultivated stock used.

Winter Aconite

Eranthis hyemalis

This woodland member of the buttercup family will swiftly multiply to form a glowing carpet of golden yellow flowers each spring. The cup shaped blooms of the winter aconite attract pollinating insects to your spring garden, and associate beautifully with snowdrops and bluebells for a spectacular woodland display. Easy to establish and virtually maintenance free, Eranthis hyemalis are ideal for planting in the dappled shade of deciduous trees, or naturalised in informal areas of grass. Height: 8cm (3"). Spread: 5cm (2"). Bulb size: 3/4.
Winter aconite bulbs are ideal for autumn planting. For spring planting choose winter aconites bulbs in the green. Only cultivated stock used.

Spring Bulbs In The Green Collection

Plant a carpet of colour with our 'Bulbs in the Green' Collection. Once established, these easy to grow, native bulbs require little maintenance. They will quickly cover the ground beneath deciduous trees and shrubs, or naturalise in grass for a spectacular springtime display.


Bulbs supplied 'in the green', means that they have just flowered. Being supplied in current growth means the plants will be much easier to establish in your own garden.

Russian Snowdrop

Puschkinia scilloides, Striped Squill

Intriguing star shaped flowers, with delicate pale petals, striped with deep blue. These hardy Russian snowdrops make a stunning alternative to traditional spring bulbs. Resilient Puschkinia bulbs will grow in almost any well drained soil, and enjoy hot summers when their bulbs can bake in the sun. Grow them in borders and rockeries, or naturalise them in grass. Glory of the Snow 'Mixed'

Chionodoxa

One of the first bulbs to flower in the spring, Glory of the Snow 'Mixed' creates dazzling carpets of colour, not only in the traditional blue, but with pretty shades of mauve and white too! Naturalising well beneath trees and shrubs, these starry Chionodoxa flowers also make a hardy and low-maintenance addition to rock gardens and spring patio pots where they'll return year after year. Scilla mischtschenkoana 'Tubergeniana'

This delightful little bulb is one of the earliest to appear in the garden, flowering from February to March. Each sturdy stem carries a cluster of pretty star-shaped, silvery blue flowers, sporting darker blue stripes along the length of every petal. Scilla mischtschenkoana 'Tubergeniana' is easy to grow in rockeries, alpine troughs, or beneath trees and shrubs. Bellevalia Mixed

Giant Grape Hyacinth, Muscari

This unusual hardy bulb looks just like a Grape Hyacinth - but twice the size! Robust, upright stems carry fat cones of tiny bell shaped flowers throughout spring, above clumps of fresh green, strap like foliage. Bellevalia 'Mixed' makes an arresting sight planted at the front of cottage garden borders, dotted throughout rockeries or in spring patio containers. Summer Flowering Bulb Collection

This collection includes five of the most popular and colourful summer-flowering bulbs: Allium Shaerocephalon, Allium Moly, Brodiaea, Anemone Blanda and Gladioli mix. Plant them amongst perennials for a pop of colour or in borders and patio pots for a bright display. Supplied as bulbs. These bulbs can be planted straight away, but will be fine to plant right through to late April. The bulbs will begin to flower in 10-12 weeks, although it will vary for each variety with the final flowers coming in July to August.
