Halesia carolina, Carolina Silverbell, Silverbell TreeThis spectacular, spreading Snowdrop Tree bears pendants of beautiful, snowdrop-like blooms on bare stems - just before the spring foliage unfurls. As they fade, the flowers are replaced by fascinating, 4-winged, green fruits, which often persist into winter. By autumn, the lush canopy of bright green leaves turns to a buttery shade of yellow.
