Copper Beech (Hedging)

Fagus sylvatica f. purpurea

Perfect for an unusually coloured hedge or screen, Copper beech can be grown to almost any height required and will maintain a good density and tidy form, only needing clipping once or twice a year. Its growth forms a thick, interwoven hedge that is ideal for security as well as looking extremely decorative too, Fagus sylvatica tends to hold most of its leaves over winter, even though they have died off and sheds them in spring as the new growth appears, helping to keep privacy to a miximum. Crab Apple 'Royalty'

Malus

A particularly attractive tree, Crab Apple 'Royalty' is unmistakeable for its dark mahogany foliage that turns to scarlet in Autumn. The deep pink springtime apple blossom is followed by dark red fruits that make a fabulous crab apple jelly. Any unpicked fruits will soften after a few frosts to create a sumptuous food source for wild birds. Crab apples are self fertile and if planted near orchard apple trees make excellent pollinators. Rootstock: M26. Height and spread: 3m (10').

Acer palmatum 'Trompenburg' (Large Plant)

Japanese Maple

This fantastic Japanese Maple can be grown as a deciduous shrub or small tree with a spectacular rounded shape. The narrowly 7-lobed foliage is deep red-purple in spring with recurved margins, becoming greener in summer and orange-red in autumn. Acer palmatum 'Trompenburg' has a slow growing habit, making this plant not only distinctive amongst other Maple's, but ideal for small gardens with limited space, where it can be planted in a large container or in the ground. Cercis chinensis 'Avondale' (Large Plant)

A perfect choice for small gardens, this deciduous plants bushy habit lends itself well to being trained as either a shrub or small tree. Bare, upright shoots are covered in small clusters of deep purple-pink, pea-like flowers in spring, creating a spectacular display just before the leaves start to emerge.
